What to expect at your intake session.
The intake session is the first meeting you will have. In this session, you and the therapist will spend time getting to know one another, review administrative information, and discuss your current concerns, goals, and past history. We understand that it may take sometime to warm up to a stranger, so we will ALWAYS move at your pace. You can share as much or as little as you want. The goal is for you to be comfortable throughout this process. We will send the intake paperwork via our client portal. Be sure to complete all of the paperwork prior to the first session, so we have time to learn about you, and prepare for our first session together.
Insurance.
The Feel Better Co. is in In-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina. The BCBS plans included are PPO plans, and State Health Plan. We are more than happy to provide a superbill, if needed. Session fees and co-pays need to be paid at time of service.
Good faith estimate.
“Know how much your care will cost”
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical services.
- You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
- Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
- If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
- Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
- If you are a current client and would like to request a good faith estimate, please reach out to clinician or complete form below.
- For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 910.319.8558.
